Thank you 2015!
Thank you!
Thank you Diner en Blanc Brisbane members for your support and enthusiasm in celebrating Brisbane’s fourth Diner en Blanc. It truly was a memorable occasion and so wonderful to see everyone get into the spirit. For us, all of the hard work pays off when we see you all having a great time, making new friends, and contributing to the spectacle in our city.
This year’s secret location was magical - Queens Park - right at the doorstep of one of our event partners Treasury Casino and Hotel. Thank you to Treasury Casino and Hotel for hosting an ultra-chic after-party at the river-facing cocktail bar, The Kitty and sponsoring the very popular Instagram printer.
Thank you to our other event partner Uber for providing those beautiful light orbs, transporting our competition winners in-style and offering first time Uber users special Diner en Blanc credit, allowing them an easy journey to the meeting locations and home at the end of the night.
Our wine partner Sirromet Wine were fantastic. Thank you for providing such a great wine selection and for the friendly service on the night.
We would also like to thank Bus Queensland for again providing reliable and professional bus services; our PR team Agency North, who have not only provided promotional support, but are always up for providing advice; Moreton Hire for giving us the opportunity to hire tables, chairs, cutlery and plates; The Weekend Edition for the Photobooth and competition; Cuisine on Cue for their great hampers and very helpful assistance; Australian Event Productions for all of their work on the staging, lighting and sound; Annette from Sub4Events was fantastic coordinating the event on the night; Austec for invaluable and helpful security; and St John Ambulance. Diner en Blanc is a pop-up event and we appreciate everyone’s great effort in “disappearing without a trace”, and we would like to thank Transpacific Cleanaway and KC Supplies, who assisted us with this.
We had a great band J-Funk, kindly contributed by Brisbane Marketing’s City Sounds program, and also enjoyed grooving again to DJ Bacon.
Our official photographer was Michelle at Mish Photography, and Michelle was fantastic at capturing the spirit of the night. Very soon our official video will be released by Blueroom Productions, who for the last three year have done a fantastic job. We can’t wait to share this year’s video with you. See the official photos, and look out for our video on our Facebook page.
This years’ volunteers, we are sure you will agree, were indispensable on the night, and were fantastic in the lead up to the evening. We appreciated all of your time and effort. It was an honour to work with this great team. We would also like to pass on our thanks to you all for respecting and listening to our volunteers to make the event such a success. Additionally we would like to thank John, Terry, Erica, Tyrone, Jim, Kevin and especially Kim for their event help.
Thank you to the Diner en Blanc International Organisers. Thank you to Chrissy, Chantal, Sandy, and Aymeric for providing us with the guidance to run this event, sharing this wonderful concept with us and for trusting us to keep up the high standard of this prestigious worldwide event! We look forward to working with you again next year.
But the biggest thank you goes to you, our members! We want to make Diner en Blanc a positive, memorable experience, and we have taken all of your comments on board to be even bigger and better in 2016.
We look forward to seeing you next year!
